OUR MINISTRIES
Anchor Baptist Church exists to glorify God by fulfilling His Great Commission of disciple making through God dependence using biblically distinct methods in order to produce dedicated members of the Body of Christ.
As well, Anchor Baptist seeks to minister to the spiritual needs of believers and non-believers alike of all ages and ethnicity. Our desire is that you would find Anchor Baptist Church as your place to belong. You can expect a warm friendly welcome and a ministry to help you and your family grow spiritually together.
At Anchor Baptist Church, you are not "just a person" but an important individual.
Children's Ministry
Children, ages 1st-6th grade, are ministered to in the Children's Ministry Room during the Morning Worship Service. Children sing songs, listen to a Bible lesson, and work on a craft. Attention is given as much as possible to the personal growth, correction and encouragement of each child. All Children's Ministry workers have passed criminal background checks.
Patch the Pirate Club is a dynamic children’s choir program, based on the the Word of God and godly character-building music. The program has been used successfully in churches, schools, and home schools since 1984. Patch Club provides opportunities for elementary-aged children, grades 1 - 6, to grow spiritually while developing musically. The nine-month curriculum is designed to run parallel to the children’s school year. The Patch Club curriculum is detailed, yet easy to implement, and includes Bible Impact lessons, sailor devotions, Scripture memory, Bible activities, music lessons, godly character stories, missionary stories, and songs that teach godly-character truths. The Patch sailors are encouraged to sing once a month in an adult church service—thus training them to serve in their local church.
